LSVT BIG

LSVT BIG is an intensive, amplitude focused physical and occupational therapy approach developed from principles of the effective Parkinson's specific speech treatment LSVT LOUD.

The LSVT programs have been developed and researched for the last 25 years with funding from NIH.

​

Research on LSVT BIG has shown improved ratings on motor function tests in people with Parkinson Disease that include: 

​

• faster walking with bigger steps

• improved balance

• increased trunk rotation

• improvements in activities of daily living 

• improved UPDRS motor score

​

LSVT BIG treatment takes place in 16 sessions, 4 consecutive days a week for 4 weeks. The sessions are 1 hour. 

​

LSVT BIG is offered at our clinic - 1290 Blossom Drive Suite 2, Victor, NY 14564. We can also deliver this program in home if you are unable to come to us. This program is covered by insurance.
