Do You Want To Improve Your Balance?

Updated: Dec 13, 2021

One daily exercise that can help your balance, is standing on one foot. Always start by holding onto the counter with two hands. Pick one foot up, hold it for 30 seconds. Then lower it and try picking up your other leg. Do this twice on each leg, every day.

As you feel steadier, you can progress this exercise by taking one hand away from the counter, and eventually increased the hold time for each leg. Always use a counter for support. Never something that could tip over like a chair. Be sure to wear flat, well- fitting shoes. Sneakers are best. Be sure to keep your head up. Try and focus on an object in front of you.
